Bar Solo is a bar at center of the scene with terrace seating, WiFi and guest DJs. The bar is quite mixed, but if is the easiest way to locate the gay street in Chaweng. K-Club is one of the longest running gay bars on the Island. Located on Central Chaweng Beach, it offers guest-hosts and cocktail, escorts, massage services, a terrace, a small disco with young energetic staff, open 2pm-late.

Pride Bar Samui is a gay lounge music bar open from 5pm daily, with free BBQ nights and regular party nights.

Sabai Bar is a gay bar/cafe with a relaxed Swiss-Thai and international mix. Located 300 meters from the central square on the beach road in Lamai. Jerome and Glof await you in a relaxed atmosphere with a pleasant environment to refresh you and have a drink with friends.

G Point is located near the Samui Karting Arena in BoPhut area. G-Point offers great cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), tasty waffles and good music. The bar also hosts private events and parties with live entertainment, cool atmosphere and great food.

SPLASH is a Gay Pool & Beach Party that takes place at the Elephant Beach Club (159/75 Moo 2, Chaweng Beach). The party normally takes place during big events such as Songkran (Thai New Year) and during visiting circuit parties such as TropOut.

The island has no gay nightclubs but there are a couple of mixed clubs. The most club popular with gay locals is Sweet Soul Nightclub but also check out Sound Club and The Green Mango Club.

For a small gay scene Samui has a good selection of gay spas and massage parlours but the island offers a much more impressive selection a gay friendly luxury spas. If you are looking for a gay spa check Emerald Green Mens Club,Tropical Fah Samui, Naka Men’s Club, and Thaiboy Men Spa & Bar.

Cabaret shows

Ladyboy Cabarets might not be everyone’s cup of tea but on Chaweng Beach you can enjoy a sparkling evening out with this fun form of entertainment. Thai society is generally more open to ladyboys than many other cultures, and its katoey, or the ‘third sex’, have played a prominent role in the nation’s entertainment industry for generations.

Starz Cabaret is a nightly lady-boy cabaret show and terrace bar in Khun Chaweng Shopping Center. Starz Cabaret features a mix of Western pop divas and Thai cultural dance, all performed with good humour and zest. The drinks menu is fairly standard and reasonably priced. Starz Cabaret has free entry and show times 20:30, 21:30 and 22:30. Booking a table in advance is recommended.

The Stage – Cabaret Lamai Beach is the most chic and modern of the ladyboy shows in Samui, with a luxurious VIP area and talented transgender dancers in 12-act, one-hour performances featuring great family-friendly comedy and song and dance routines. Located close to the Lamai Variety Centre on the main road through the relatively quiet town, the well-decorated theatre does not get as busy as those in Chaweng, but the dancers still giving it their all, no matter the size of the audience. The Cabaret Lamai Beach has three shows per night, starting at 20:30, 21:30 and 22:30. Tickets cost 250 baht and includes a free drink.

Paris Follies Cabaret is probably the most bawdy and risqué of the Koh Samui ladyboy shows, with the most buxom dancers wearing the most revealing costumes. They star in a one-hour show filled with humour and exciting dance routines.
